Today, 2014 US Junior National Champion, Jazmyn Foberg, announced she's decided to start her college career early and is headed to Florida in the fall. She announced her decision on her Instagram earlier today.

The drama in Athens continues as head coach Danna Durante has been fired. On Sunday, the Red and Black student newspaper, stated that a source had said Durante was being let go and by Monday, the university confirmed it. The news comes on the heels of the announcement that three gymnasts had ben set free from their roster. After having a really rough start to their season, and then falling apart at NCAAs, finishing a mere 12th out of the 12 teams, their lowest finish since 2010 when they missed out on making nationals all together, placing 13th. Jay Clark was head coach at the time, and he resigned a couple of years later and in 2012,  Durante took the reins.

Today in the world of NCAA gymnastics we have Amanars being thrown and some light "team restructuring." - Ashleigh Gnat just casually throws an Amanar... Because why not?

The European Championships are currently being held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Women's individual qualification rounds held today determined who will advance to the finals this weekend, starting with the all-around final tomorrow, at 5:30 local time. Great Britain's Ellie Downie made waves, qualifiying first to the all-around final, as well as the vault and floor final and earning spots in the bars and beam finals. The NCAA Gymnastics Championships has concluded for 2017. Thus begins the void between the end of NCAA season and the start of elite season heading in to world championships. I have been in St. Louis last weekend catching all the action. We're still 8 months out from the start of NCAA season in 2018, so lets take some time to recap real quick and provide some closing thoughts.

The post-season is here. It all comes down to performances at the Regionals today. Out of the six regionals, the top two teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA National Gymnastics Championships in St. Louis in less than two weeks. The pressure is on. I'll be starting with the Gainsville Regional for this live blogging stint. Since the West Virginia Regional is happening simultaneously, I'll be live blogging that too.
