Ebee Price Drops Out of American Cup

With the American Cup about a month and a half away, the competition roster gained competitiors as well as lost competitiors.

Elizabeth "Ebee" Price, 2012 USA Olympic team alternate and 2012 Romanian Olympic team-member Larisa Iordache have withdrawn from the competition. Larissa, last year's American Cup bronze medalist has not provided an explanation for her withdraw.

Per USA Gymnastics, Ebee withdrew from the competition due to a hip injury she sustained in practice. She told USA Gymnastics she felt it was best to let the injury heal to be ready for competition later in the year rather than push through to compete in the American Cup.

USA Gymnastics stated they will name a second American woman to represent them at the American after the training camp in February.

With Ebee and Larisa out of the competition, three more competitors have cropped up. Koko Tsurumi and Hiroshi Ishiwaka of Japan and Canada's Victoria Moors were announced this week.

Anyone want to start a bet on who will be named as Ebee and Larisa's replacements? Anyone?

These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
