A Hot Pink Intervention

Dear USA Gymnasts,

Please, for the love of all that is good and right with the world, please STOP wearing the ugliest hot pink leos in the history of ugly.

Seriously, neon went out with the '80's, which was long before most of you were ever born or were even a twinkle in your parent's eyes. Please stop, if not in the name of saving my eyes from being blinded by that horrid concoction, stop in the name of FASHION!

'
Nope, It's not 80's Night or a Pride Parade, It's Just Team USA

You can wear nice leos that are not a ridiculously ugly color that might be seen on anyone and everyone in Las Vegas and perhaps Miami. It was adorable when Nastia Liukin wore hot pink winning her all-around gold in Beijing, it was adorable the next year when Bridget Sloan wore her hot pink leo scoring the World Championship gold after scoring a National Championship. It stopped being cute when it started to become ubiquitous. Kiddos, this is not I love the '80's.  This is what I have to say about the sea of hot pink that continues to give me bad fashion flashbacks:

If you do not stop, us your fans will be forced to take action. By action, I mean there may have to be a pink fabric ban for all of your leotards until you learn that hot pink is not cute.

Again, I cannot stress this enough, STOP IT!

Sincerely,

A Concerned Citizen Who Does Not Want to Repeat the '80's

Gymnastics Biggest Bad-Asses

While listening to a podcast about badass people (nearly all of whom were men), I decided it was time to celebrate the badass-ness of women. Since this is a gymnastics blog, this article will focus on bad asses in the sport of gymnastics, particularly women in gymnastics. These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
