Favorite Routines: Viktoria Komova Uneven Bars

This week, I'm paying a little love to Viktoria Komova. I'm featuring her world championship winning uneven bars routine.

At the 2011 Vika won the silver medal in the all around,
but was disappointed over USA's Jordyn Wieber getting the gold. This didn't please Vika the perfectionist. Vika had an opportunity to get her gold medal during the event finals on the uneven bars to beat her new rival, Jordyn.

The bars is definitely one of Vika's best events. On this event, she demonstrates long balletic lines and innovative skills. Vika beat Jordyn, who also made the event finals for uneven bars. But, unlike Vika, the bars is not Jordyn's best event.  She has perfect lines and innovatitve skills including two original skills named for her in the code of points. Vika is certainly one of the most talented gymnasts representing Russia.  Watch for yourself:

Since this is a gymnastics blog, this article will focus on bad asses in the sport of gymnastics, particularly women in gymnastics. These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
