Favortie Routines: Tricia Woo, Balance Beam

This installment of favorite routines is featuring NCAA gymnast and former Cirque Du Soleil artist, Tricia Woo.

Before her time on the Cirque stage, Tricia was a stand-out gymnast on the University of Nebraska's gymnastics team. The routine that I am featuring is Tricia's balance beam routine from January of 2009, Nebraska versus Penn State. Tricia's infuses so much of herself in her routine. She told the Gymcastic crew that gymnastics was an outlet for her self expression, and that's why her routines were so artistic.

Artistry is such a blanket term in gymnastics, but this routine is the definition of artistry. She infuses her personality with unique combinations of skills and dance, it's easy to see why she made the transition from gymnast to Circus performer.

These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
