After months of anticipation and waiting very, very patiently, Sandra Izbasa has returned her awesome self to competition.
Great timing with Worlds in a few weeks. Sandra made her post Olympic debut at the Dutch Invitational this weekend in, Alphen aan den Rijn. Sandra only competed on the floor exercise. But she debuted a new routine and she took second behind Olympic teammate, Diana Bulimar.
Sandra, who won the vault gold medal in London, hasn't really been seen in competition since the Olympics. Word on the gymternet was she had returned to training earlier this year. She didn't compete at the European Championships because she hadn't had enough time in the gym.
Sandra, looking like a beautiful tiger in her orange and black leo, opens with a full-in double pike and finishes her routine with a stuck 1 1/2 twist to punch front layout. How's that for a comeback?
