Favorite Routines: Roxana Popa, Uneven Bars

In a World Championship or any gymnastics event, there are any number of stories to be told. Whether it's a gymnasts battle with him or herself, battling an injury, or trying to set themselves apart from the rest of the competition.

Earlier this year, Romanian born gymnast from Spain, Roxana Popa Nedelcu dealt with an elbow injury that hindered her ability to train on the uneven bars. Not a fun thing to deal with in your first year as a senior and you're trying to prepare for some of the biggest competitions of your life.  Roxana's routine is beautiful, not the highest difficulty, but it's clear she worked very hard to work with the obstacles being put in her path. She has lovely flight and execution and she makes her Gienger look like the easiest thing in the world.

Here is Roxana Popa on the uneven bars during the all around final.
