Favorite Routines: Viktoria Komova; Balance Beam Youth Olympic Games

Before Viktoria Komova became an Olympic and World medalist, she was an outstanding junior gymnast. Her highlight is her all-around win at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.

She displays those long lines she's known for and has beautiful rhythm and cadence in this routine. She rarely pauses and she actually connects her elements and dances into her acro series. This is how beam should be. Vika has had time off due to injuries and illness. Not the way she wanted her year to go, but perhaps a little R&R and time away from competition has given her fresh perspective and invigorated her for a fantastic 2014.

Here's to Vika.
