Gymnasts Show their Support for the Winter Olympics

The Rio Olympics aren't for another 2 1/2 years, but the gymnasts are taking part in the Olympic spirit in support of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Nastia Liukin will join NBC sports as a reporter and a contributor  for "Olympic Daily" a 30 minute program covering the aspects of the Olympics. Nastia holds dual citizenship in Russia and the US.

“Nastia is a decorated Olympic champion who brings a unique perspective to Russia’s first Winter Olympics, both as an athlete and a member of a family with a tremendous sports legacy dating back to the former Soviet Union,” said Jim Bell, Executive Producer of NBC Olympics. via NBC Sports Press Box.
Elsewhere, Tatiana Nabieva is showing her Olympic spirit as a torch bearer in the torch relay running in St. Petersburg.  Some other big names to take part from Russian Gymnastics history were Elena Shushunova and Alexander Balandin. (VIA Rewriting Russian Gymnastics Facebook)
Svetlana Khorkina got things started when she joined the kick off to the Torch relay in Moscow and relieved her own Olympic Glory:
"I had those nostalgic feeling as if I were standing on the Olympic podium again – I had three Olympics in my career. I can compare the ceremony to receiving an Olympic gold, though the only difference is that the medal is all mine while the symbolic Olympic flame belongs to the whole world." Via Voice of Russia
