Kyla Ross, Kohei Uchimura Awarded Longines Prize For Elegance

After winning the silver medal in the All-around final in Antwerp, Belgium at this year's world championships, Kyla Ross was given the honor of being awarded the Longines Prize for Elegance along with fourth time men's all-around champion, Kohei Uchimura.


Longines, the official time keeper of the World Championships award the athletes that represent the most elegance during the competition while performing at world championship medal. Longines has been the official time keeper since 2009.

Per the Longines website:

In gymnastics, the challenge of movement not only demands flawless execution but also grace, beauty and harmony known as “elegance”. 
This is Kohei's second time to be awarded the prize. He won in 2011 with Romania's Ana Porgras. Past winners include Mexico's Elsa Garcia, Phillip Boy of Germany and Rie Tanaka of Japan.
