The Gabby Douglas Story: Coming Soon to TV Audiences

Lifetime has announced the official air date of the made for TV movie, "The Gabby Douglas Story."


The movie is set to air Saturday, February  1 to kick off Black History month. As confirmed, Regina King will play Gabby's mother, Natalie Hawkins. "Everyone Hates Chris Star" Imani Hakim will play Gabby during her elite career and her triumph in London.  Brian Tee is rumored to play Liang Chow, Gabby's coach.

Per IMDB the description is as follows:

The story follows the childhood and teen years of Gabby Douglas, the first black gymnast in Olympic history to become the Individual All-Around Champion and the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympics.
