Favorite Routines: OU's Chayse Capps on Beam

Over the weekend, the University of Oklahoma won the Metroplex and took the top ranking in Women's NCAA gymnastics with a score of 198.175 just beating out the Lousiana State University Tigers with 197.875.

As far as NCAA teams go, the OU Sooners are definitely underdogs. They're not one of the NCAA teams that has former elites coming out of the woodworks. Even without elites, the Sooners are (in my opinion) one of the most talented and artistic teams in the NCAA and maybe the world (yes I said it). Their beam routines are some of the most beautiful routines I have seen.

Case in point, freshman Chayse Capps on beam. Chase was a competitive dancer in another life. Her dance background shines through in Chayse's performance. She has such beautiful presentation and flair. It's really wonderful to watch.

These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
