Sophie Scheder Training A New Beam Combo At Cottbus

Germany's Sophie Scheder was seen during podium training for the Cottbus Cup training a beautiful and unique new beam connection.

In this video from Gymnastike, Sophie is seen training her beam routine. She is just delightful to watch on the beam. She's got beautiful form and wonderful extension. At the :55 mark, Sophie is seen doing a side somi to an immediate split leap, from a side position. It's a D+A dance/acro connection which is worth .1 in bonus value. After that connection, she does a dance series all sideways. It's nice to see gymnasts making good use of the apparatus.

These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
