Team Great Britain is on a roll. Since London, they have been quietly joining the upper echelon of the elite gymnastics world.
Yesterday, they qualified their team in first place ahead of big four countries, Russia and Romania. Standout floor worker, Claudia Fragapane qualified in second for the floor final behind Larisa Iordache with her routine. Not only is she a powerful tumbler, she sells her routine with artistry and presence that is delightful to watch with unique skills that resemble breakdancing moves. Beckie Downie, who is carrying on the legacy of British bar masters created by Beth Tweddle, qualified in first, tying with current European bar champion, Aliya Mustafina, who also qualified to the beam final.
Topping it all off, Anna Pavlova, in her first Euros in about a decade, qualified in second to the vault final behind current European vault champion, Giulia Steingruber.
