Stanford's Beam Choreography

Let's face it, when one thinks of beam, awesome choreography is not the first thing that comes to mind.

Mostly, beam choreography is a lot of arm waving in between a leap series or a turn. The gymnasts at Stanford University are looking to change that.

Below is a series of GIFs depicting two Stanford athletes, Taylor Rice and Becky Wing on beam. Since the beam is only four inches (10 cm), the range of movements can be limiting (hence the arm waving). Becky and Taylor are not just moving their arms, but they are moving their whole bodies, their faces and their hands. The result, is nothing short of fantastic.
