Daniela Silivas Fields Questions From her Son

Daniela Silivas (Harper) Olympic Gold medalist, World Champion, European Champion and now, a gymnastics coach, a wife and a mother of three children.

Yesterday, Daniela posted a conversation she had with her five-year-old son, Rylan on her Facebook page. What a gem. Kids say the darnedest things....

Daniela competed for Romania back in the '80's. She won the silver medal in the all-around at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Additionally, she won three golds for uneven bars (insert Romanian bar joke here), balance beam and floor exercise as well as a team silver and a bronze on vault.

She was a world champion on bars, beam and floor and with the Romanian team. In 1987, she won the all-around title at the European championships.

Daniela also has several skills named after her in the code of points, including the coolest beam mount ever and a double twisting double back tucked. She currently resides in Georgia with her husband and three children.

These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
