LSU @ Florida Live Blog

It's Friday and that means it's time for gymnastics. Tonight, I'm live blogging LSU at Florida.

LSU and Florida are two highly ranked SEC gymnastics powerhouses, LSU is currently ranked # 7 and Florida is sitting tight at # 2. This is a home meet for Florida and they are often best at home, much like LSU. But will the Tigers devour the Gators, or will the Tigers get trapped by the strong Gator jaws.
Gator Chomp Away!

Refresh the page every 5-10 minutes or so for more animal kingdom metaphors, puns, Gator chomping and all the gymnastics.

Be prepared for lots of Gator chomping tonight, especially during Florida's floor rotation.

For vault, Ashleigh Gnat has a DTY, so yeah, but Kennedy Baker and Alicia Boren are doing Yurchenko one and a halves which are also out of a 10.00.

In the all-around, Bridget Sloan practically owns that title, but Kennedy Baker is also a solid all-arounder for the Gators. Myia Hambrick has been the best all-arounder for LSU this season, and if she pulls out what she did last weekend at home, she'll be pretty awesome.

Rotation one Florida will start on vault and LSU will be on bars.

It's a close one! Florida is ahead by .075, LSU could easily make themselves a gator skinned purse. Okay, that was a bad pun. Oh and I guess Alex McMurtry is going on floor for the first time in her collegiate career, so there's that to look forward to.

Gymnastics Biggest Bad-Asses

While listening to a podcast about badass people (nearly all of whom were men), I decided it was time to celebrate the badass-ness of women. Since this is a gymnastics blog, this article will focus on bad asses in the sport of gymnastics, particularly women in gymnastics. These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
