Team USA Announces Women's World Team

After weeks of speculation, and two days of worlds selection camp, USA Gymnastics has finally announced their selection for the World Championship team.

They are as follows:

Ragan Smith
Jade Carey
Morgan Hurd
Ashton Locklear
Non-Traveling Alternate Jordan Chiles

This is a team that is mostly the new guard, with the exception of Ashton Locklear, no one on the team has competed at a world championships before. It's definitely what you would call a changing of the guard.

Last quad saw Simone Biles rise through three consecutive world championship titles and an Olympic title. With Simone on hiatus, the field is wide open. It's now anyone's game.

Of course, there seems to be a lot of mixed reactions on this particular team. But, that's a whole 'nother can of worms.

The World Championships will be held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct. 2-8.

These women are tough for their perseverance, their bravery, and just generally being awesome.
