Larisa Iordache & Andrei Muntean Win Swiss Cup

Larisa Iordache and her partner Andrei Muntean took the top spot at the Swiss Cup, winning the title for Romania for the first time since 2007.

Larisa and Andrei won over last year's winners, Germany's Fabian Hambuchen and  Elisabeth Seitz. Switzerland's Giulia Steingruber and Claudio Cappelli took third place. This is the first time the Romanian's have won the competition since 2007, when Steliana Nistor and Flavius Koczi won the title.

Larisa debuted an upgraded bar routine with 6.1 difficulty score. A big improvement, since the Romanian gymnasts are not known for their spectacular uneven bars work, but they have been woking to improve their bars. Romania will not be the butt of the joke any longer when it comes to the uneven bars with this routine.

Here she is on the balance beam:

It's been good week for Larisa, who also took the the top prize with Switzerland's Pablo Bragger at the Arthur Gander Memorial Cup on Wednesday, October 30. Larisa is slowly, but surely making a name for herself not only as a fierce beam worker, but a fierce all-around competitor.
