Catalina Ponor's Gold Medal Beam Routine at Doha

She's back. The glorious, one and only Catalina Ponor has made her international return to competition for Romania. Catalina showed everyone she's still got it, and probably never lost it when she won the gold medal at this weekend's Doha Cup on her signature event, the balance beam.

NCAA Power Rankings Conference Championships

It's that time of the week and time for for my weekly power rankings. Once again, these rankings are not based on the official Road to Nationals rankings, but rather these are stories and or people that have intrigued me or caught my attention this week. Battle of the beamers - Chayse Capps versus Danusia Francis 4.  The Big Fives - competing to compete for bragging rights in the Big Ten 5.  Shawn Johnson Professes Her Love for NCAA Gymnastics, and the reasons we all watch and love it 6.  Allie Northey Beats the Second Ranked All-Arounder in the NCAA on Senior Night Without further adieu, let's get to this week's power rankings!

It should be intense competition! Utah are the defending champs, but they're facing stiff competition! Refresh the page every few minutes for updates!

NCAA Power Rankings Week 10

It's Tuesday, March 15 and, if you're familiar with Shakespeare, you may recall that it is the Ides of March. Beware the Ides of March!  It's also time for Power Rankings. As per usual, these aren't the official Road to Nationals rankings, rather they are stories and people that have caught my attention throughout the week, whether it be note-worthy events or a reaction to something. Last week's Power Rankings were # 1 The Rankings Shakeups # 2 Greg Mardsen throwing shade at SEC scoring during the Georgia, Stanford & UCLA tri-meet # 3 Will the real Stanford please stand-up? # 4 Lindsay Mable # 5 Beam Fails # 6 Jessie Peszek Without further adieu, I present this weeks rankings:

Oklahoma @ UCLA Live Blog

It's the showdown we have all been waiting for. UCLA versus Oklahoma, one beam team takes on another. Last weekend, UCLA lost at Pauley Pavillion for the first time like, ever when they hosted Stanford and Georgia. Oklahoma has been almost unbeatable, sans the loss at LSU in the first week of the season.  Will Oklahoma crush UCLA's dreams or will they rise to the occasion. Refresh the page every few minutes or so to find out!

Seattle Pacific, Denver @ Washington Live Blog

So the PAC 12 app is super screwy so no Georgia and Utah. Luckily, Washington has their own dedicated stream (yay Washington). It's their last home meet before they host PAC 12's next week. They are hosting a tri-meet with Denver and Seattle Pacific.  Hopefully, this meet puts Washington in a solid spot to qualify to regionals. It's senior night for Washington and honestly, I'm so depressed that Allie Northey is a senior this year. I will drown my sorrows with live blogging this meet! Refresh the page every 5-10 minutes for updates.

B1G Five Qualifier # 2 Live Blog

Much more gymnastics to come with the second qualifier for next weekend's B1G Ten Championships. Ohio State is hosting tonight and they are joined by Nebraska, Illinois-Champaign, Maryland College Park and Michigan State. The first three finishers from this meet go to the evening session of the Big Ten Championships, for the biggest chance to win all the glory and all the bragging rights. Expect some fierce competition. Refresh the page every 5-10 minutes for all the good stuff.

BIG Five Qualifier # 1 Live Blog

Time for Saturday gymnastics! This afternoon, it is the first qualifying session for the Big Ten Championships. Teams competing are: Michigan, Iowa, Rutgers, Minnesota and Penn State, who is also hosting. Refresh the page every 5-10 minutes for all the action!

Cal, Sac State @ UC Davis Live Blog

I lied. I'm back for more live blogging I'm watching Cal, Sac State at UC Davis. Why not? Free live streaming on YouTube. Plus, meets are archived on their YouTube page. HINT HINT SEC, PAC 12, ahem.

Arizona State @ Auburn Live Blog

It's final week of regular season meets before the conference championships. Tonight, I'm live blogging Arizona State at Auburn. Auburn has had a hell of a season. They've upset higher ranked teams such as Alabama for the first time like, ever and they're currently ranked in the # 7 spot. At this point, it's likely that Auburn is going to get that coveted fourth spot in the evening session of the SEC Championships. Arizona State just had their head coach, Renee Lyst, put on indefinite administrative leave. Yikes, on top of that, they've been devastated with injuries denting their line-ups. How will the teams fare tonight? Refresh the page every 5-10 minutes or so to find out!

NCAA Power Rankings Week 9

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for NCAA Power Rankings. These aren't the official Road to Nationals rankings, rather they are stories and people that have caught my attention throughout the week, whether it be note-worthy events or a reaction to something. Last week, I talked about: # 1 LSU at Florida - Florida's home scoring benefits the visiting team, LSU # 2 Kelly Garrison's Oklahoma home meet commentary # 3 Maddie Gardiner is basically holding her whole team together # 4 Epic Beam Saves # 5 If Ebee Price Deserves a Traveling Group of Back-Up Dancers then Risa Perez deserves her own act in Vegas. # 6 Julia Ross of Denver FINALLY is Rewarded for her Glorious Beam Routine # 7 The Push to the Post Season Without further adieu, I present week 9 Power Rankings:

Minnesota, Denver @ Air Force Live Blog

Time for some live blogging! Sadly, due to unforseen circumstances, I am unable to live blog the Georgia, Stanford UCLA meet. Instead, I'm live blogging Denver, Minnesota at Air Force. On Friday, Denver beat Minnesota by 0.65, will they maintain dominance again tonight? Refresh the page every so often to find out.

Western Michigan @ Washington Live Blog

We're closing in on the regular season. Tonight, I'm live blogging Western Michigan at Washington. I've really fell for this little team that could over the course of this season and I've been impressed with their progress and their tenacity. For all the action from Seattle, refresh the page every 5-10 minutes or so for updates.
