It's Tuesday, March 15 and, if you're familiar with Shakespeare, you may recall that it is the Ides of March. Beware the Ides of March!  It's also time for Power Rankings. As per usual, these aren't the official Road to Nationals rankings, rather they are stories and people that have caught my attention throughout the week, whether it be note-worthy events or a reaction to something. From the Olympic arena to the boardroom. Rumor has it that 2008 Olympic Silver Medalist, Shawn Johnson will appear on the upcoming season of  Celebrity Apprentice .

The long awaited Gabby Douglas has aired. There was laughter, there was tears and most importantly, triumph! Knowing this is a made for TV movie, I have to admit, my expectations were very low. Did this meet or exceed my expectations?

In a stroke of good fortune, Maddy Curley and Brooke Buffington have received the financial backing they need to create the "next great gymnastics movie" Chalk It Up.

Former University of North Carolina teammates, Maddy Curley and Brooke Buffington are gymnastics answer to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The two former gymnasts are working on creating the next gymnastics movie, Chalk It Up. Chalk It Up  is the story of Hannah, a former elite gymnast who gets back into the sport in the college athletics sphere and forms a team of rag tag gymnasts.

This week's favorite routine is Shawn Johnson's gold medal winning balance beam routine from the 2008 Olympics. After being bested by Nastia Liukin in the all-round final (perhaps she was blinded by that hot pink leo), Shawn's next chance to win a gold was the balance beam
