Time for Senior Event finals at the Pacific Rim Championships. I'm a little late to the game, sorry about that. So I'm starting with uneven bars for women. Refresh the page every 10-15 minutes or so for the deets.

Australia's Olivia Vivian Does the Splits Between The Bars

Two things to remember about the uneven bars. 1. The distance between the bars has gotten wider as the sport has changed. 2. The current distance between the bars with the current FIG (International Gymnastics Federation; Federation Internationale Gymnastique) standard measurements is between 130 cm to 180 cm (4'3"  to 5'10"). Day One Results of the Commonwealth Games

Brief synopsis: England is leading after two rotations with an 85.390. Following is Australia ins second with an 83.883 and Wales in third with 81.398. Individually, Beckie Downie is leading the uneven bars qualifications. Claudia Fragapane is sitting in third for the all-around final and is leading the vault qualification ahead of Canada's Ellie Black. Australia's Georgia Rose Brown is leading the all-around qualification after two rotations.

Favorite Routines: Daria Joura; Floor Exercise

This edition of Favorite Routines features Australian gymnast, Daria Joura aka Dasha on floor exercise at the 2007 American Cup. Daria has a story very similar to Nastia Liukin. She was born in Russia and moved to Australia with her parents as a young child when her father accepted a job at the Western Australian Institute of Sport. She spent most of her time in the gym as a child with her gymnastics coach parents.
