With the European Championships getting underway next week, the Russian team is hard at work preparing for total domination.

Even though Anna Rodionova was not named to the European Championships team for Russia, but that's not going to stop me from enjoying her gymnastics.

This weekend at the Cottbus Cup in Germany, Sophie Scheder took home the top prize on the uneven bars.

Some training videos of Russian gymnast, Anna Rodionova have surfaced.

Aliya Mustafina will represent Russia the the DTB Cup in Stuttgart Germany. Not to be confused with the Stuttgart World Cup, which will be held the same weekend.

On the heels of the World Championships end, the gymnasts selected to compete at Elite Masilia in Marseilles, France November 15-17 has been announced. Anna Rodionova will be representing Russia and gaining some valuable international experience after her debut at the World Championships in Antwerp. Joining her is  Ekaterina Kramerenko who won the bronze medal on the uneven bars in Stuttgart in 2007.

In Antwerp, Aly Raisman met up with Aliya Mustafina, Anna Rodionova and Tatiana Nabieva. Aly promised her fans she'd get a picture with Aliya.  What better time to get a picture while out on the town with the girls, when one is looking fabulous? Like any good girls night, picture taking must be involved. This provides the opportunity for the occasional photo-bomber. This particular photo bomber happened to be Aimee Boorman, also known as Simone Biles' coach.

Russian newbie Anna Rodionova has been out and about during today's podium training. The featured routine from the tiny blond newbie is her training the uneven bars. She has some form issues, namely a leg separation on her Shaposh half and she catches her straddled Jaeger a little close to the bar and bends her arms to compensate. she makes up for it with a nice Tkatchev and a clean landing on her dismount.

The fourth gymnast to compete for Russia at Worlds has been chosen and her name is Anna Rodionova. Anna is more than likely going to compete beam and possibly bars. The word on the street is that Maria Paseka is dealing with a back injury and will probably not be doing bars as she has done earlier this year.

Valentina Rodionenko confirmed today that Ksenia Afanasyeva will not be in attendance at Worlds after all. Ksenia recently had surgery on her ankle from an old injury and it widely speculated amongst gym-fans if she would even be at the World Championships, which will be held later this month in Antwerp, Belgium.
