The first day of event finals in Glasgow have concluded.  History was made yet again with a four person uneven bar tie for gold. Wait, wait, wait, what the fuck was that?  Yes, a FOUR way tie for uneven bars gold. Viktoria Komova, Daria Spiridonova, Fan Yilin and Madison Kocian, all with the exact same score, 15.366. Go home Glasgow judges,  you're officially DRUNK.

The Russian team can't seem to catch a break. According to Rewriting Russian Gymnastics , just a couple of weeks after she withdrew from the world's team, Aliya Mustafina is going to need surgery on her knee.

Earlier this week, Russian head coach Valentina Rodionenko announced the teams going to the European Championships in April.

The Russian Gymnastics Federation has named a provisional team going to the World Championships in Nanning, China this October. The announcement comes on the heels of the recent Russian Cup in Penza, which served as part of the qualification process for the Worlds team.

Well isn't this a picture of a modern world. This photo shows Aliya Mustafina, Daria Spiridonova and Maria Kharenkova at the European Championships. They're all on their phones. It's just a perfect snapshot to picture this modern world, where technology pretty much runs our lives. Before you rush to scoff, just think of how many hours a day your cell phone is glued to your hand. On the last day of the European Championships, the event finals, Beckie Downie got a gold medal for  Great Britain (finally) and Anna Pavlova marked her return to major international competition with shiny new silver medal and Larisa Iordache, Aliya Mustafina and Vanessa Ferrari all added more bling to their medal collections.

After an amazing performance during today's team finals at the European Championships, team Romania took home the gold medal. The Romanians, led by Diana Bulimar and Larisa Iordache had issues in the qualification round yesterday, but today, they on fire.

After a week of triumphs comebacks and disappointments at the Russian Championships, the Russian Federation has announced their team headed to the European Championships this May. via the Magnificent USA, Russia and Romania
