It's that time of the week and time for for my weekly power rankings. Once again, these rankings are not based on the official Road to Nationals rankings, but rather these are stories and or people that have intrigued me or caught my attention this week. Peng Peng is ready to get "on the road again." After two years of dealing with an ACL tear that required two surgeries and two years away from competition, the glory that is Christine "Peng Peng" Lee, was finally able to grace us with her presence during this past NCAA season, wowing on bars and beam with beautiful, rarely seen skills for both elite and NCAA. This week in NCAA, Christine "Peng Peng" Lee made her glorious return to competition at UCLA's first meet of the season at Oregon State. Peng Peng, a former elite gymnast from Canada has been out for two years as the result of an ACL tear that kept her from competing for Canada in the London Olympic Games.

The glorious Christine aka Peng Peng Lee was seen in training today with the UCLA Bruins.

2013 is almost over, as of 11:59 p.m. tonight, it will mark the close of another post Olympic year. There were new faces to cheer for, triumphs and tragedies and more. Here are some of the highlights of the past year:

Jordyn Wieber has lived several different lives in her 18 years. Most notably, her 2011 World Championship win and her contribution team USA during the London Olympics as a part of the "Fierce Five." Her stellar resume includes three American Cup championship wins and countless other medals and awards. via Twitter These days, Jordyn is doing what many young men and women her age are doing and striking out on her own as a college freshman at the University of California in Los Angeles. She talked to USA Gymnastics earlier this week about her experiences as a college freshman and being recognized in the dining hall of all places.

Sadly after sitting out last season,  Christine, also known as "Peng Peng" Lee of UCLA will sit out another season due to her nagging ACL injury. Peng Peng, who tore her anterior crutiate ligament (ACL) last year and missed out on competing with her native Canada at the 2012 London Olympics. She joined the UCLA Bruins, but sat out most of the season while healing her injury. UCLA announced today via their Twitter account that Peng would again not compete for UCLA for the 2014 Gymnastics season.

The gymternet anxiously awaits Peng Peng Lee's return to competition with the UCLA Bruins this winter. Until then, we're anxiously counting down the days until the debut of the NCAA season.

After dealing with a torn ACL and sitting out the Olympic Games, Peng Peng Lee is back, ready and raring to go. The Canadian gymnast is entering her sophomore year at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
