Today, the ladies take to the floor to compete for team Olympic glory. So many questions float through our heads. Will Team USA dominate as per usual? Will Russia show up and pull of a medal, or will it be a repeat of Glasgow? Will Brazil, equipped with Alexander Alexandrov pull off a medal coup? What about China? SOOOO many questions and no answers. Well, you're in luck. I'll be live blogging this event (best I can) and I will bring you the answers to your questions you so desire. The men got their chance to duke it out for their chance at the coveted team gold. Team Japan with Kohei Uchimura was shooting for their first Olympic gold in twelve years. Team Great Britain wanted another shot at the podium. Team USA was hoping for a medal. How did the boys do?

Okay, so I lied. I'm back for Subdivision three. In this sub division we're following Great Britain, Germany and Brazil. Refresh the page every ten minutes or so follow along.

Good news from Beth Tweddle regarding her injury. Beth, world champion, Olympic Medalist and European Champion has been discharged from the hospital following her scary accident while filming the latest sports reality celebrity competition show "The Jump" in Austria.

Another day of gymnastics history was made at the men's team final in Glasgow. The Japan men's team took the title for the first time since 1978, effectively ending the Chinese Men's team reign. The home team, Great Britain, took home another historic silver medal in this competition.

Women's team finals at the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland have officially concluded. It was a huge day for Team USA, who successfully defended their team title and for Great Britain, who had a historic finish in the team finals, taking home the bronze medal after some uncharacteristic falls and mistakes from Russia landed them just off the medal podium for the first time since 2007.

The first day of qualifications has concluded in Glasgow, Scotland. There were heart breaks and triumphs and surprises. Romania had about the worst day in qualifications they've ever had, while Russia had an awesome day. How did it all go wrong for Romania, but so right for Russia?

After two full days of competition in Nanning, China, world qualification results are out. Team USA is of course leading the pack, qualifying first to the team final over four points up on Team China, with Aliya Mustafina and team Russia in third. Team Great Britain is on the cusp and of course will be looking to  inch their way onto the medal podium after winning the silver medal at the European Championships earlier this year.

Brief synopsis: England is leading after two rotations with an 85.390. Following is Australia ins second with an 83.883 and Wales in third with 81.398. Individually, Beckie Downie is leading the uneven bars qualifications. Claudia Fragapane is sitting in third for the all-around final and is leading the vault qualification ahead of Canada's Ellie Black. Australia's Georgia Rose Brown is leading the all-around qualification after two rotations.

After an amazing performance during today's team finals at the European Championships, team Romania took home the gold medal. The Romanians, led by Diana Bulimar and Larisa Iordache had issues in the qualification round yesterday, but today, they on fire.

The results are in from the junior team competition and qualifying session. The Russian juniors already have a take no prisoners strong hold as they won by well over three points.

Photos from podium training for the European Championships have been floating around Tumblr. The preference for blinding hot pink trend has officially crossed the Atlantic ocean. Team Russia was spotted wearing hot pink, as was team Italy. Sigh...

Great Britain has some major talent coming through their ranks.  Two standout gymnasts are Claudia Fragapane and Catherine Lyons, who both have absolutely glorious floor routines. The two athletes have totally different styles on the floor with their dance, but the level of performance and expression is breath-taking.

At the Welsh Open, British Gymnast Rebecca Tunney debuted a stunning new uneven bars combination.

This weekend saw the return of Sandra Izbasa at the Dutch Friendly meet this weekend while the Chinese Nationals got underway.

This edition of Favorite routines is featuring junior British gymnast, Catherine Lyons. Catherine is an up and coming junior on the British Gymnastics scene.

UCLA Bruin Danusia Francis is known through out the NCAA for her sideways aerial on the beam. In this lovely gif she is seen training the aerial over the pit. It is amazing. Danusia looks like she's about 5'8' with her beautiful extension.  In the NCAA, which uses the Junior Olympic code, which is level ten, this skill is rated an E. In the FIG Women's Code Of Points, this is the same as your regular run of the mill aerial cartwheel on the beam,  a D.  Lame. Who do I need to write to get that changed?

British Olympic team member Jennifer Pinches confirmed today via her Twitter account that she is going to Hollywood. The british pixie is not going to seek her shot at fame and fortune on the big screen however. She's going to the University of California in Los Angeles to be a part of the Bruins gymnastics team. Jennifer, also known as "Jenni" announced last September via Twitter that she wouldn't be competing for Great Britain anymore. Now, we know why.
