USAG Training Camp: Brenna Dowell Channels Her Inner Sasha Fierce

Brenna Dowell is looking fierce.

Brenna, who trains with Al and Armine Fong at GAGE, was named to the World Championships team in Antwerp, Belgium last fall. After long hours of training and hard effort, Brenna was made an alternate while her three teammates, McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross and Simone Biles were named to the all around.

Instead of throwing in the towel, Brenna seems to be using her Worlds experience to motivate her. At the USA Gymnastics training camp last week, Brenna channeled her own inner Beyonce and she is looking as confident as ever.  Her Amanar is looking awesome and so powerful. On beam, she's really looking sharp. She mounts with a clean front tuck to split jump into a forward aerial walkover. In the next frame, she is training a switch leap into a full twisting back-handspring. Fabulous! I'm a little heartbroken that she is not training her Tweddle, but alas...
